ECS 2013 Spring Break Camp
April 15th to 19th for children ages 5 to 12yrs old
- The theme is Queen Saba and Menelik.
- We use the Montessori approach.
- Amharic is woven into instruction. In addition, returning campers and those with the Amharic language experience will have a structured Amharic class. New campers and those with no or limited Amharic language experience will have introductory Amharic material.
- Art and cooking is always part of the program.
Daily schedule: 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
9:00 am -10:30 am: Group gathering. Greetings, weather report, songs and the story of Saba and Menelik. Snack will be served during activity time.
10:30 am -11:30am: Indoor Activity: Soccer skill training by “Tes Soccer Club coach” and dance
11:30am -12:30pm: Lunch and outside play (with balls and hoops)
12:30pm -1:30pm: Amharic instruction
1:30pm – 2:30pm: Monday and Wednesday appreciation of Ethiopian Painting. Tuesday, Thursday and Friday cooking
2:30pm -3:00pm: Afternoon snack
** Art field trip will be included if chaperones are available
**All campers should bring a lunch
The fee is $80 with 10% discount for members or siblings.

For registration, print the attached form and send it with $20.00 registration fee. The $20.00 will be deducted from the fee. Additional donations for the program gratefully accepted.
