The Ethiopian Community in Seattle (ECS) partners with the Washington State Department of Labor & Industries (L&I) to support small businesses through culturally and linguistically responsive outreach, education, and access to trusted resources. This program helps business owners better understand employer requirements, strengthen compliance, and connect with practical tools that support safe, fair, and sustainable workplaces.
L&I supports employers and workers in key areas such as workers’ compensation, workplace safety and health, and employment standards. Through this program, ECS provides educational articles, outreach, workshops, and one-on-one advising to help small business owners learn and apply these requirements in their day-to-day operations.

የኢትዮጵያ ኮሚኒቲ በሲያትል (ECS) ከዋሽንግተን ስቴት የሠራተኛ እና ኢንዱስትሪ መምሪያ (L&I) ጋር በመተባበር ለአነስተኛ የንግድ ድርጅቶች ባህልን እና ቋንቋን መሰረት ያደረገ ግንኙነት፣ ትምህርት እና የታመኑ የመረጃ ምንጮችን የማቅረብ ሥራ ይሰራል፡፡ ይህ ፕሮግራም የንግድ ድርጅት ባለቤቶች የአሠሪ ግዴታዎችን በተሻለ ሁኔታ እንዲረዱ፣ ሕጎችን ማክበር እንዲችሉ እና ደህንነቱ የተጠበቀ፣ ፍትሃዊ እና ቀጣይነት ያለው የሥራ ቦታ ለመፍጠር የሚያግዙ ተግባራዊ መሣሪያዎችን እንዲያገኙ ያግዛል፡፡
L&I እንደ የሠራተኛ ካሳ፣ የሥራ ቦታ ደህንነትና ጤና፣ እና የሥራ ስምሪት መስፈርቶች ባሉ ቁልፍ ዘርፎች ለአሠሪዎች እና ለሠራተኞች ድጋፍ ያደርጋል፡፡ በዚህ ፕሮግራም አማካኝነት ECS አነስተኛ የንግድ ድርጅቶች ባለቤቶች እነዚህን መስፈርቶች ተረድተው በዕለት ተዕለት ሥራዎቻቸው ላይ ተግባራዊ እንዲያደርጉ ለመርዳት ትምህርታዊ ጽሑፎችን፣ የማህበረሰብ ግንኙነቶችን፣ ወርክሾፖችን እና የአንድ ለአንድ የማማከር አገልግሎቶችን ያቀርባል፡፡

የL&I መስፈርቶችን እና ግብዓቶችን በተሻለ ሁኔታ እንዲረዱ ለማገዝ በነፃ የአንድ ለአንድ ድጋፍ እንሰጣለን። የነፃ የማማከር ክፍለ-ጊዜ ቀጠሮ በመያዝ ለንግድዎ የሚሆን መረጃንና መመሪያን ማግኘት ይችላሉ።
