Business Resiliency

ECS works to promote and sustain small businesses within the Ethiopian community as a member of the Small Business Resiliency Network sponsored by the Washington State Department of Commerce. Through the program, ECS provides culturally relevant support, including education and job placement assistance, to small business owners within the Ethiopian community.

ECS provides a wide range of assistance to the small business community, including:

Start-up and management education

ECS organizes workshops about small business ownership and what to consider before starting a new business. Learn the basics of Starting a Restaurant Business, Adult Family House or a Franchise Businesses.

Market expansion

Workshops are held on how to do business with the City of Seattle.

Grants and financial assistance

ECS shares information on how to access small business loans and relief funds, including COVID debt relief programs.

Administrative support

ECS helps small business owners fill out forms and provide translation services as needed.
